Badlit [NEW]

Badlit is, or was, a traditional script of the Visayans in the group of islands between Mindanao and Luzon in the island chain now called the Philippines. It is also known as the Bisaya Script, the Visayan script, Sulat Bisaya, Suwat Bisaya or Baybayin Bisaya, the last name indicating that it is often seen as a regional variant of the Baybayin script.
In the Visayan community, efforts are under way to revive it, as evidenced by a YouTube series, local TV coverage, and modern digitized fonts.

This entry is what Wikipedia calls a “stub”–that is, we know very little, we wish we knew more, and we’d love to hear from anyone who can add to our miserable little stub of knowledge.
